Lavonda Martin, MSN, RN
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
I am a native of Timmonsville, SC located in Florence County. As a person who understands the true definition of getting it out the mud, I have literally worked my way up in the world of healthcare. Beginning my career as a Nursing Assistant, advancing into a LPN and to currently pursue my calling as a Register Nurse with a Master’s degree in nursing education as well as Family Nurse Practitioner, I truly feel that I am where I am supposed to be in life.
My professional slogan is “Speaking life one breath at a time.” This means to me that you can speak life into any situation no matter how bad or good as long as we put forth the effort and believe that it is obtainable. A lot of us only need an extra sense of support and understanding to achieve our goal, and that’s what I am here for.
Not only am I a compassionate mentor, educator, and advocate for safety and quality care in the healthcare industry; I am also a loving wife and mother. I wear multiple hats on a daily basis and I find that these roles not only pertain to my personal ability but also the calling that God has placed on my life to serve and assist others through their journey of life. I strive to be a vessel for anyone that entrust me to provide them any education or training and follow them through further advancement of their careers. I have a very dedicated staff that is ready to assist you in beginning a rewarding career in the healthcare field! We currently have 12 entry level healthcare programs and are looking to always add more!
