❤️ EKG Technician Program

Purpose
To equip students with the knowledge and technical skills to operate electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) machines, monitor cardiac rhythms, and assist healthcare providers in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions.

Curriculum Coverage
⦁ Anatomy & physiology of the cardiovascular system
⦁ EKG machine operation and maintenance
⦁ Lead placement and electrode application
⦁ Identifying and interpreting arrhythmias
⦁ Patient safety and infection control practices
⦁ Emergency procedures during cardiac testing

Certification Preparation
⦁ Meets the requirements for Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Career Opportunities
EKG Technician; Monitor Technician (Telemetry Tech); Cardiac Care Technician; Cardiology Office/Clinic Assistant.
