📘 Medical Assistant Program

Purpose
To prepare students with the clinical and administrative skills needed to assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in outpatient and ambulatory settings.

Curriculum Coverage
⦁ Anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, medical law & ethics
⦁ Patient intake, vital signs, history-taking, documentation
⦁ Clinical procedures (injections, wound care, sterilization, assisting with exams)
⦁ Laboratory procedures (phlebotomy basics, urinalysis, specimen collection)
⦁ Medical office administration, billing, and electronic health records (EHR)
⦁ OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines

Certification Preparation
⦁ Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – NHA
⦁ Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) – NHA
⦁ CMA (AAMA) certification
